Milan 2017: Italian design brand Seletti and Dutch design duo Studio Job will launch a new collection during this years Salone del Mobile in Milan.
Following the recent announcement of the pairs new collaborative design brand BLOW, Studio Job and Seletti present a new design project that aims to bridge the gap between exclusivity and accessibility.
Titled 'Un_Limited Editions', the project sees Seletti's reinterpretation of two iconic Studio Job lamps.
Originally only available as limited bronze editions, Studio's Job's iconic 'Banana Lamp' and 'Tiffany Tree Lamp' are now presented as affordable open editions.
Available in three variations; 'Huey', 'Dewey' and 'Louie', each 'Banana Lamp' features a free standing design that utilises peeled skins as its primary source of stability.
Upturned roots form the base of the gothic-tinged 'Tiffany Tree Lamp' which is produced entirely from resin. An open winged raven is delicately positioned at the very tip of the lamps green monochrome shade.
"There is nothing more liberating for a brand like Seletti than taking some precious art objects and transforming them into something accessible to all," explains Stefano Seletti, art director of the brand.
"It was a challenge for us to take the most interesting art producers in the design world and conceive with them a collection which sprouts the exclusivity of art and preserves accessibility," adds Stefano.
