Renowned fashion designer, artist and DJ, Virgil Abloh and iconic furniture manufacturer, Vitra have collaborated on a bold interior collection inspired by French designer Jean Prouvé. The limited-edition collection sees Abloh reinterpret two of Jean Prouvé's most-loved designs - the 'Petite Potence' wall light and ' 'Antony' armchair - as well as designing a ceramic storage block.
The pieces are have been launched to coincide with Abloh's TWENTYTHIRTYFIVE installation at the Fire Station on the Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein, Germany, where the designer has presented his vision of “Past/Present” and “Future" living using iconic designs from Vitra's archives along with possible future releases.
The three products are available to purchase exclusively from the Vitra Campus and, for European residents, at Vitra’s online store until 31st June. North American customers will have a chance to view the exhibition when it comes to Vitra’s soon-to-open New York City showroom in the fall, at which time a range of different products will available online for U.S. customers.
Jane Richards Interiors was luck enough to secure one 'Antony' armchair which will be on display in our Norwich store in the coming months. In the meantime, Virgil's "Figures of Speech' book is available to purchase online here.
