Atelier Biagetti's showroom in Milan
Based in the Navigli region of Milan, Atelier Biagetti was founded in 2003 by architect and designer Alberto Biagetti and artist Laura Baldassari. The duo are renowned for their tongue-in-cheek exploration of society’s greatest obsessions and have produced work for the likes of Louis Vuitton-Objects, Gufram, Memphis Milano, Venini and Adidas.
Following the studio’s celebrated ‘Sex’, ‘God’ and ‘Body Building’ projects, in which mundane, day-to-day objects are reimagined and repurposed, 2022’s playful ‘Pet Therapy’ concept was designed to revive the childish sense of wonder and enthusiasm that so many of us have forgotten.
Comprised of giant cat-shaped loungers, inflatable beach ball poufs, a whimsical wooden mirror, and a range of soft palm tree lamps, Biagetti's latest 'Pet Therapy' collection gives nostalgic and unexpected items a new lease of life.
“We are tired of designing chairs and tables. We can create things that don’t exist, like giant cats to be used as sofas.” explains Biagetti.
“With Pet Therapy Atelier Biagetti presents a new domestic landscape in which every object is an enigma, a game, a daydream, a hologram, designed to be the true protagonist of a story that intricately entwines wonder with desire.”

With many of their previous collections and objects only available as limited-editions, Biagetti sought to create a collection of more accessible, handmade-in-Italy products that not only celebrate their past, but place a focus on the present and the future.
